Turkey is a very large country which governs the territory at the southeast corner of the Black Sea and the entire Anatolian Peninsula from the Bosphorous through most of the Armenian Plateau. The photos here were made during two trips. The first, in April 2007, was a short visit limited to Istanbul and the Aegean coast. The second, in 2013, spanned six weeks in late April through early June during which we again visited Istanbul and then traveled the length of the Black Sea coast to Amasra, Sinop, Unye and Trabzon then down through far eastern Turkey to Erezurum, Kars, Dobubayazit and Van, then west to Cappadocia and Konya and finally back north through Ankara and Bursa to Istanbul.
